The Role: As a Teacher of English, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring English language and literature lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Responsibilities include:

* Planning and delivering high-quality English lessons that are challenging, stimulating, and tailored to the needs of individual students.

* Inspiring a love for English language and literature, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

* Assessing student progress and attainment, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.

* Differentiating instruction to accommodate the diverse learning needs and abilities of students, including those with special educational needs.

* Contributing to the development and implementation of the English curriculum, resources, and assessment strategies.

* Collaborating with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive English department, sharing best practices and innovative teaching ideas.

* Participating in extracurricular activities, events, and school initiatives to enrich the educational experience for students.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related subject.

* Experience teaching English language and literature at Key Stages 3, 4, and ideally Key Stage 5.

* A passion for English literature and language learning, with the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.

* Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

* A reflective and collaborative approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.

* The ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and motivated to succeed.
