About the role:

We seek a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our thriving 2-form entry primary school in the heart of Islington. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and nurturing environment where your contribution will directly impact student success.As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our school’s high standards of teaching and learning. Your main responsibility will be to cover whole classes in the absence of the teacher, delivering engaging lessons that follow the school’s curriculum planning. You will also support individual pupils and small groups, helping to tailor learning experiences to meet their needs.
Application Requirements:
• Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience working within a primary school setting, particularly with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils.
• Strong understanding of the UK national curriculum.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver planned lessons to whole classes, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide targeted support and interventions.
• Mark and provide feedback on pupils’ work, highlighting areas of achievement and improvement.
• Promote positive values, attitudes, and behaviours among students.
