Principal Contractor

Flexistaff are recruiting for a Principle Contractor who would be suitable to meet the criteria's for our client, a Manufacturing plant in Luton, who are undergoing a series of modifications supporting the electric vehicle revolution.

Pay rate - £45 per hour

Shift rota - Dayshift (times TBC) the shift hours will range from 8 to 10 hours. You must be flexible and prepared to "put hours the in" depending on the work load on the planned schedule.

The Principle Contractor will be responsible for but not limited to:

The preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Construction Health and Safety plan

The preparation, implementation and monitoring of traffic management and fire emergency plans

To coordinate and chair daily and weekly Health and Safety meetings

To undertake daily waste walks with the relevant client personnel

The preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Site Waste Management Plan

To undertake all contractor and visitor site inductions via PowerPoint presentation

Undertake daily and weekly site inspections and report all findings to the client and contractors

Review all method statements/risk assessments, comment and maintain copy to file and area of work

Coordination of site support services and continuous site safety monitoring

Investigate all Health and Safety incidents, review findings and communicate to all project personnel and set up Health and Safety information board and monitor

Provide quality Health and Safety advice to the project team and all contractors

Liaising with visiting authorizing bodies/assistance with external facilities if required

Monitoring of welfare facilities

Install Water Test Conveyor/ Install Water Test Facility /Install Electrical, Water and Air supply for water leak test /Conveyor strip out water leak test.
