M4 Specialist are looking for an experienced multi-faceted Driver Trainer to work for a great joinery distribution company based in Hemel Hempstead. This job role will suit an open-minded experienced transport individual that is hands on.

Salary - £40,000 per year but can be negotiated DOE

This is prominently a Monday – Friday role but will need to be flexible during busier periods and peak period (October – December)

How will you contribute?

* Conduct Class 1 and Class 2 driving assessments for employees as required

* Assess and evaluate driver competency, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with transportation regulations

* Develop and deliver comprehensive inductions for new employees, ensuring they are well-informed about company policies, safety procedures, and compliance requirements

* Create engaging training materials and presentations to facilitate effective onboarding

* Monitor and ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, standards, and company policies

* Conduct regular compliance audits and inspections at various sites, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions

* Travel to outbound sites, as required, to provide on-site support and training

* Collaborate with site managers and employees to address compliance issues and training needs

* Pursue necessary qualifications and certifications to become an accredited trainer for warehouse colleagues on mechanical handling equipment. Experience desirable.

* Maintain accurate records of all training sessions, assessments, and compliance activities

* Generate reports and analysis to track progress and identify areas for improvement

What will you bring?

* Proven experience in compliance management, ideally within the logistics or transportation industry

* Valid Class 1 and Class 2 driving licences

* Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards

* Excellent communication and presentation skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Willingness to travel to various sites as needed

* Commitment to ongoing professional development and training qualifications

* Be proactive, inquisitive with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance

* Be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards

* Should be flexible and respond positively and accurately to internal and external customer requests

* Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels

* Be able to demonstrate previous relevant experience

* Able to travel across sites as required
