Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a dynamic and innovative property company in the Northeast of England in their hire of an ambitious and enthusiastic Town Planner

My client's multidisciplinary team is made up of Planning, Design, and Architectural professionals, specialising in residential projects with a focus on sustainability, community engagement, and cutting-edge design, and providing comprehensive Town Planning services across the UK

Duties of the Role:

Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications for residential projects.
Conduct research and analysis on planning policies, regulations, and legislative requirements.
Prepare planning reports, assessments, and recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
Liaise with local authorities, councils, and other relevant agencies on planning matters.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure compliance with planning regulations and project objectives.
Participate in community engagement activities and public consultations as required.

Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or related field (RTPI accredited)
A Minimum of one year of professional experience in town planning, preferably with a focus on residential projects.
A Sound knowledge of planning legislation, regulations, and processes in Yorkshire.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A proactive and adaptable attitude, with a passion for sustainable urban development and design.
An enjoyment of writing, with excellent language skills and ability to effectively communicate planning arguments.
