Learning Support Worker

Halcyon Health & Social Care are looking for reliable, engaging, and compassionate learning support workers to work with multiple services and schools across Gloucestershire. This role includes working closely with pupils who have special educational needs and disabilities, and supporting their teaching and learning experiences. We are looking for LSWs who are passionate and engaging, and will be confident in their role of supporting SEND pupils.

Supporting the teachers in teaching activities, focusing closer attention onto those requiring additional learning support.
Working 1-1 with pupils and supporting them as closely as possible.
Helping to create a positive atmosphere and inspiring positive thought around education.
Taking responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of the children in your care.
Providing feedback to the class teachers and problem-solving any issues.
Promoting high standards of behaviour.
Adapt lesson plans and activities to meet the needs of the children.
Successful candidates must have:
Experience working with children, especially SEN or SEND.
A minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role.
Bubbly, engaging, and compassionate personalities.
A passion for supporting education and learning.
