Full-time - £83.33-£90 per day - ASAP start

Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in a Special Needs School in Ashford. This is a full-time role to start ASAP and will be a temp to perm contract. There will be training and additional CPD provided too.

The school provides education for children with: Autism (ASD), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), language and communication needs, sensory processing needs, trauma, Opposition Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD).

The Role

Working as both a main class and dedicated SEN TA. This will be primarily supporting multiple children across Primary and Secondary aged pupils
Working on a 1:1 basis providing dedicated Maths and Phonics support.
Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies if necessary.
Undertaking CPD if the role requires it, in which you will be accredited for.

Requirements

Experience working as a main class Teaching Assistant would be highly desirable.
Driving license and vehicle, happy to use school vehicles
Holding a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desirable but not essential.
Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral, or personal setting would be highly desirable
Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
Must have right to work in the UK
