Heritage PS Talent Solutions are thrilled to be working in partnership with an award winning and well established accountancy based business in Leicester to recruit for a Senior Accountant to join their team This varied role encompasses all aspects of accountancy, from management accounts to financial statements for limited companies across a wide range of industries. In addition to preparing business accounts, there are opportunities to work in more specialised areas, including charity and not-for-profit organisations, as well as pension scheme accounts.

Main duties of the Senior Accountant role:

Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring assignments are completed in a timely manner.
Prepare annual accounts and tax computations for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Prepare quarterly or monthly management accounts and information.
Handle quarterly VAT returns.
Actively participate in the development of the company's cloud accounting services.
Support and mentor trainee accountants with their assignments.
Deliver excellent customer service, managing and exceeding client expectations, and responding promptly to all ad hoc queries.
Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge by attending relevant training, conferences, and seminars.
Manage all work efficiently and profitably in accordance with company procedures.Requirements of the Senior Accountant role:

ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
Experience working in practice.
Computer literate, particularly with Microsoft Office, and able to quickly and easily adapt to new software.
Excellent attention to detail and a drive to exceed client expectations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to network and contribute to business development.
The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently on assignments while being part of a larger team and supporting trainees with their work.Benefits of the Senior Accountant role:
