We are currently recruiting for a leading and prestigious Transport and Logistics company for their site located in Wisbech, due to their continued success, growth, and development they are seeking to employ a Warehouse Charge Hand to start as soon as possible.

This is an ongoing role potentially leading to permanent for the right candidate.

Shift is 4 on 4 off 6pm – 6am - nights.

Reports To Shift Supervisor

£15.70 per hour

Main Purpose of the Role

Supporting the Shift Supervisor with effective management and supervision of the shifts all store operations, including distribution of workload for all warehouse operatives and FLT drivers including agency labour that is allocated to the operation. Effective organisational and communication skills and a flexible approach to work hours.

Must Haves

Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a Warehouse environment

Forklift Truck Certificate, Counterbalance, Reach, Flexi truck licences where appropriate

Must be able to work as assigned in either office or warehouse environments.

Professional in appearance

Strong Leadership and Management skills with the ability to delegate and supervise individuals.

Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety of themselves and others around the workplace

Ability to multi‐task and work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co‐Workers alike.

Highly organised, self-sufficient and able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines

Manual Handling Trained

Flexible in approach to work and adaptable to fit into different teams and environments.

Confident and approachable

Must have own transport and full UK driving licence and own transportation to work.

Accountable KPI’s

Customer Service - Accuracy of stock levels >98%

Quality – Ensure product is loaded correctly and safely for transit >99%

Cost – Ensure safe storage and loading to eradicate breakages
