We are actively recruiting for an experienced Engine Fitter to join a leading manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire.

We are looking for someone who has previous Strip & Rebuild experience working with vehicles, the hiring manager is looking for someone who has specifically worked with Engines and anyone with experience with Mechanics, Agricultural, Plant Machinery, Construction, Off-Highway, Defence, HGV or LGV Mechanics would be well received.

This role would suit someone who is used to getting their hands dirty, has previous mechanical/assembly fitting experience and has experience working in a busy workshop environment.

This role comes with a competitive starting salary up to £30,000 per annum, which will be reviewed upon completion of a three month probation period.

The company also offers generous overtime rates, and a comprehensive benefits package, this role is your chance to secure a permanent position in an expanding company renowned for its innovation and excellence.

What You Will Do

Strip down and refurbish engine components with precision and skill.
Clean and prepare parts for reassembly, ensuring the highest quality standards.
Conduct thorough testing on reassembled components to guarantee functionality.
Interpret and follow engineering drawings accurately to meet specifications.
Utilise a range of hand and power tools daily, including spanners and torque wrenches.
Maintain machinery records meticulously, completing all necessary paperwork.

Proven experience in a busy workshop environment, ideally within the engine or mechanical fitting sector.
Demonstrable skills in working with engines and an ability to read engineering drawings.
A hands-on approach to problem-solving and a passion for mechanical engineering.

A team player attitude, able to work effectively with contractors and suppliers.
