Warehouse Assistant

Description

UBT Recruitment are working with a well-established SME based in Wigan. They are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join their team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facility, supporting various functions including inventory management, order fulfillment, and general warehouse duties.

Working hours and Salary: 8:30-5:00 (30 minute lunch). £25,000 per annum

Warehouse Assistant duties:

* Assist in the receiving, sorting, and organising of incoming inventory

* Prepare and pack orders accurately and efficiently for shipment

* Keeping up with planned deliveries and web store same day orders

* Shrink wrapping, palletising and restocking

* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space

* Collaborate with team members to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

* Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

* Previous experience in a warehouse

* Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding role

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks

* Counterbalance forklift licence

* Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team
