Exciting Opportunity for an Environmental Engineer at a Leading Manufacturing Company

Are you an experienced Environmental / Quality Engineer with a passion for environmental sustainability? A leading manufacturer within electrical installations, pipe fixings, and other components is seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer to join their team. With a minimum of 3 years’ experience, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining exemplary quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.

Location: Based just outside of Malton, this role is easily commutable from Malton, Scarborough, Pickering, Driffield, Pocklington, Filey, and the Eastern side of York.

The successful Environmental / Quality Engineer will be responsible for

Conducting COSHH assessments, manage waste control and hazardous waste collection, and lead the Energy Team for environmental initiatives.
Supporting new product introduction, manage gauging and calibration, and conduct product measurements and ISIRs.
Performing ISO 9001:2015 and OHAS 14001 internal audits, maintain environmental product declarations, and support external accreditation audits.
Driving continuous improvement activities, handle non-conformance management, and maintain various registers (Aspects & Impacts, Risks & Opportunities).
Collecting and maintain carbon footprint data, support legislation maintenance, and manage customer and accreditation portals.
Maintaining COSHH assessments and waste registers.
Processing waste transfer notes and hazardous waste collection.
Leading environmental initiatives and maintain relevant data.
Supporting external accreditation audits and internal ISO audits.
Handling NCAR documentation and maintain customer portals. 

The successful Environmental / Quality Engineer will have.

Proven experience in quality engineering and environmental management.
Proficiency in gauging, calibration, and product measurement.
Experience with systems auditing and non-conformance management.
Strong understanding of continuous improvement processes.
A full clean driving license is required.
IEMA Foundation Certificate (preferred but not mandatory)
