We are looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical design Engineer for an excellent opportunity to join a leading Engineering R&D Company in Berkshire. This is a permanent, staff position and is available as either full-time or part-time.

You will join a small team of Engineers and will work on multiple, diverse projects ranging from small consumer products to bespoke special purpose machinery.

About You.

You will be an experienced design Engineer with a pragmatic approach to achieving engineering solutions to meet a client’s needs with a good understanding of DFM and DFA considerations throughout the project cycle.

You will also be able to liaise with Clients at all levels and also be able to work with suppliers to source materials, parts and services as necessary throught the project cycle.

Key skills.

Experienced and competent user of SolidWorks, Inventor or Creo CAD software.

Experience of designing Pneumatics circuits.

Experience of creating electrical circuit diagrams.

Competent in designing mechanical and electro-mechanical products.

Experience of design plastic components and the application of surface modelling techniques would be advantageous.

Some experience and competence in FEA would be beneficial but not essential.

Ideally educated to HND level in Engineering, but experience and a flexible attitude is more important than academic qualifications
