Tendering Engineer

The role is Home based with travel to Scarborough

As a Tendering Engineer for our client you will be responsible for producing detailed quotations for Industrial AC and DC Products and services from detailed customer specifications. This role is part of a team but has the freedom to use your specialist knowledge and creative thinking, to solve problems that support the wider team to achieve their goals.

What you’ll do Duties

• Review client requirements, specifications, and drawings to create a technical solution.

• Create a client proposal including accurate costings, specifications, and value proposition.

• Suggest appropriate solutions to customer ensuring the proposal meets customer and company expectations.

• Direct Customer liaison via email, Microsoft teams, telephone and in person.

Person specification

• You’ll be passionate about customer service, providing the correct solution to the customer in the required timescales.

Qualifications

• BSc, HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or suitable equivalent science or engineering qualifications, or experience in a similar tendering role for bespoke electrical equipment

Advantageous but not essential

Be able to demonstrate strong technical understanding of Industrial AC & DC battery-based power systems. Experience

• Having worked previously in a tendering, design, test or service engineering environment would be advantageous.

• Possess excellent verbal, written communication skills and numeracy skills.

• Good interpersonal and organisational skills

• Commercially astute, clearly able to understand the value proposition of the proposal to the client.

• Self-disciplined and able to demonstrate the ability to work remotely whilst maintaining links with the rest of the team and prioritising own workload to meet customer deadlines
