Are you an experienced Service Engineer with experience of servicing and maintaining diesel generators? A leading generator solutions business is currently recruiting x2 Engineers to be based and work within the Midlands attending customer sites, carrying out testing and maintenance of the companies diesel generators and power solutions.
Hourly rate is £18-20per hour door to door
Overtime paid at x1.5 over 40 hours and x2 on a Sunday
Paid call out rotation (also when on standby)
As a Field Service Engineer your role will involve, but not not be limited to:
Routine maintenance on various diesel generators to ensure optimal performance
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults promptly
Troubleshoot on control panels
Perform Load Banking and mains failure testing
Identify and procure parts to maintain efficiency
Generate detailed reports in line with established standards
Co-ordinate and schedule repairs and services, ensuring satisfaction and a timely resolution for customers
Suitable Candidate:
Apprentice trained Engineer to minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent within a maintenance qualification
Experience of maintaining diesel generators is essential
Experience with electronics and mechanical components, including but not limited t engines and alternators
Ability to understand and complete risk assessments
Worked within a fast paced environment
Comfortable with communicating to customers both face to face and over the telephone
Capable to work with a variety of customers within various industries
This role does involve occasional overnight stays as and when needed.
