Cherry Professional are excited to working exclusively with this highly regarded Multi-Academy Trust to source their new CFO.  With ambitious growth plans, fantastic senior leadership team and the opportunity to take the Trust to the next level this is a role that doesn’t come around that often.
 
Key Responsibilities…
 
*            You will provide leadership and management across all aspects of finance.
*            You will contribute to the strategic direction of the Trust
*            You will play an integral role in supporting the growth and development of the Trust and ensure it continues to be financially sustainable.
*            You will regularly report to the Board of Trustees, producing high quality reports to  enable the trust to make robust and informed decisions.
*              You will horizon scan and enable the Trust to make strong judgement in relation to funding and legislative changes.
*              You will be an exceptional and resilient leader, providing clear and supportive management of the finance function and managing all the financial accounting and transactional finance across the trust, ensuring all systems are fit for purpose and reporting is effective and timely.
*              You will drive continuous improvement within the finance operations of the trust, bringing greater deficiencies across the growing MAT. To enable this, you will develop strong relationships with all schools, develop a clear knowledge of their needs and how they serve their communities locally.
*              Across all areas of this role, you will seek to directly link strategic decisions to impacts for the children, families and communities that the Trust serves.
*            You will provide analysis on business opportunities, providing options and scenarios.
*            Improve the financial awareness and understanding of non-financial managers
*            Provide ad-hoc insight and analysis across the company.

Role requirements…
 
*              You should be a qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
*              You should have significant experience of managing substantial budgets and other related financial matters
*              Have a strong track record of leading strategic financial planning for a medium to large organisation
*              Evidence of successful leadership and management of teams
*              Experience in a similar role in the schools, academies, Higher education, NHS or Public sectors
*              Experience of negotiating contractual agreements
*              Understanding of group accounting including the ability to produce and interpret FRS 102 compliant consolidated financial statements
*              You should possess stakeholder management and business partnering experience
*              Able to produce financial models incorporating key business drivers that are easy to understand by stakeholders
