Are you a talented Mechanical Fitter with a passion for engineering and a knack for problem-solving? Our client, an industry-leading engineering company, is seeking an experienced individual to join their team.

Salary: £30,168 Annually

Shifts: Day Shift - Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

Maintenance and repair of cargo handling plant equipment, including Forklift Trucks (FLT), Cranes, and Heavy Plant Machinery.
Conducting regular servicing and ensuring effective repairs to equipment.
Stripping down and rebuilding motors.
Changing pistons and spark plugs (not part of a fixed unit).

Skills/Experience Required:

Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of cargo handling plant equipment, such as FLT, Cranes, and Heavy Plant Machinery, is highly advantageous but not essential.
Proficient in stripping down and rebuilding motors.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures and comply with health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

A relevant trade certificate or diploma in engineering would be beneficial but not essential.
