Finance Business Partner required to join an established public sector organisation for a 6 - 12 month interim assignment. My client is looking for an experienced public sector Finance Business Partner to add value over a busy period.

The Finance Business Partner will provide a comprehensive management accounting support service, alongside the duties below;

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner

Prepare and maintain revenue and capital budgets in accordance with corporate standards and timescales
Liaise with budget holders on an on-going basis on all financial matters
Produce and present financial management information, budget monitoring and other reports as requested
Assist in the production of formal reports
Undertake regular budget monitoring meetings with budget holders
Promote and support financial awareness and budget management training of budget holders
Maintain the integrity of specific service area financial information within the ledger
Provide technical advise, guidance briefings and training as required
Support the closure of accounts
Support the production of statutory returns as requiredRequired skills and experience of the Finance Business Partner

CIPFA qualified or CCAB recognised qualification
Experience working in services or corporate functions
Understanding of public sector finances
Experience of revenue & capital budgeting & budget monitoring
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
