Installation & Service Engineer - Industrial & Commercial Doors

Are you an Installation and/or Service Engineer with experience working on electrical/mechanical systems? Our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial and commercial doors, is seeking an Engineer to join their team to work on projects nationally.

Benefits package:

* Hourly rate of £17-£20/hour depending on experience

* Overtime available

* 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays

* Company vehicle for travel to jobs (collected from depot at start of each job)

* Accommodation paid for

* £25 day allowance when working away paid in advance

Responsibilities:

* Install, maintain, and repair industrial and commercial doors, including electrical and mechanical systems.

* Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with door systems.

* Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure door safety and compliance with industry standards.

* Collaborate with clients and on-site teams to deliver high-quality service, ensuring customer satisfaction.

* Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate records of all work performed.

* Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all installation and service activities.

* Provide technical support and training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of door systems.

Required Experience:

* Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial and commercial doors.

* Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, controllers, and wiring.

* Proficiency in using power tools such as drills, grinders, and other relevant equipment.

* CSCS or SSSTS card

* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

This role involves national travel and working away but you must be located near the Leyland depot. Commutable from Preston, Leyland, Bamber Bridge, Broughton, Clifton, Catforth, Grimsargh, Balderstone, Blackburn, Blackpool, Chorley, Southport and Darwen.
