Heidelberg Materials UK is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of heavy buildings materials to the construction sector. We produce vital materials (aggregates, cement, concrete, and asphalt) that support UK infrastructure and construction projects – from roads and housing to major British infrastructure works.

As one of the major players in the sector we are looking to grow our work-winning team with the addition of an experienced, dedicated, and driven Business Development Manager/Bid Writer Sat within the high-profile National Commercial team, you will have the opportunity to drive our bids to secure work on the most innovative, exciting, and high value major infrastructure projects in the UK today.

In addition, we are intensively developing our competencies as a responsible, sustainable business in the areas of carbon, social value, and digitalisation. Job Purpose

* To deliver high quality bids and tenders on time.

* To identify win themes that are critical to National Highways, local authorities and other clients and to develop our responses on these themes.

* To develop in conjunction with the National Commercial Team and Contracting supporting documents such as case studies that enable Hanson to be successful in bids and tenders.

* To identify weaknesses in submitted bids and to implement an action plan to address the identified shortcomings
