Crewing Officer - Essex

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily crewing operations of the vessels assigned and for communicating key issues to Fleet Director
Organising embarkation and repatriation of crew, in an effective and cost-efficient manner
Obtaining and maintaining crew particulars within the Danaos Program, including the electronic filing of crew documents
Maintaining accurate records for crew database, including crew voyage records
Verifying the validity of crew certificates.
Preparation of SEA.
Payment of crew wages and processing of ships accounts
Approval of Port costs.
Approval of expenses for Crew related services
Keeping up-to-date with Maritime and Flag state legislation and applying that knowledge to ensure that all crew are adequately trained and compliant with current regulations.
Management of processes in line with the business quality Management system.Skills and Experience

Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and find effective solutions
Ability to build strong relationships with crew members and other stakeholders is key
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
Experience in similar role or experience within the maritime sector
