Our Client are building a residential new build project, 75 units valued at £15million and looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work alongside an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. The project commences in September on site so procurement will begin imminiently.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be working closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of our construction projects. Your exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and extensive knowledge of construction materials and methods will be essential in maintaining cost control and ensuring projects stay within budget.

Responsibilities

* Conduct cost analysis assessments and provide accurate quantity takeoffs

* Prepare detailed tender documents, including specifications and bill of quantities

* Analyze construction drawings and specifications to identify potential cost-saving measures

* Monitor project budgets and provide regular financial reports

* Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure cost control throughout the construction process

* Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and quantities

* Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry

* In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations

* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills

* Proficiency in using industry-standard quantity surveying software

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
