Source Solutions are proud to be working with a highly successful and continually growing global manufacturer within the electronics space, who operate cutting edge technology within a fascinating environment and a culture of continuous improvement, in identifying an experienced Production Support Engineer for their main site in Portsmouth.

The company operate complex automated machines and robots in their manufacturing which the Production Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, as well as providing reactive repairs. These machines include elements of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatics/hydraulics and so candidates should have experience in these areas.

The machinery is highly bespoke and this role would provide an exciting challenge for someone with confidence and experience in both electrical and mechanical fault finding, PPM activities, as well as some experience within a manufacturing environment operating automated machines and lines. You will also be involved in the upkeep and repairs of other specialist equipment within workshop and hand assembly areas, so the role provides a fair amount of variety.

Candidate profile:

* 18th Edition Certificate and some form of formal electrical engineering qualification and training

* Strong experience of mechanical engineering – ideally including workshop engineering

* Ability to work in a reactive but careful and considered manner

* Experience of maintaining and repairing machines used in manufacturing/production environment
