Oaklands Global are currently looking to recruit a Safety & Compliance Manager for a reputable client based in the Northeast of the UK, holding key Nominated Person roles for Quality, Safety, and Compliance.

Please note there is NO hybrid or flexibility with this role.

Responsibilities:

* Act as UK & EASA Part-145 Nominated Person for Quality and later for Compliance Monitoring Manager (CMM).

* Monitor activities for regulatory compliance and supervise maintenance contractors.

* Establish and maintain an independent audit system.

* Conduct regular meetings with the Accountable Manager.

* Oversee the amendment of procedures and submit MOE changes for approval.

* Manage supplier assessments and subcontractor evaluations.

* Handle certification and authorisation of UK CAA & EASA Part-145 staff.

* Ensure compliance for maintenance activities outside approved locations.

* Integrate audit findings into training programs and manage staff training records.

* Manage the safety reporting scheme and internal occurrence investigations.

* Facilitate hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk mitigation.

* Provide safety performance reports and maintain safety documentation.

* Ensure availability and standards of safety training.

* Support a positive safety learning culture and just culture principles.

* Assist in developing and implementing an IMS for all functional areas.

* Perform tasks as directed by the Director of Engineering & Maintenance.

Requirements:

* Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.

* Ability to hold UK and EASA Part-145 Nominated Person roles.

* Valid or previously held Part-66 AML or Aeronautical Engineering Degree.

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance or continuing airworthiness.

* Technical knowledge relevant to products/types.

* In-depth knowledge of Part-145 regulations and Maintenance Organisation Expositions (MOE).

* Formal training in quality systems, compliance monitoring, and auditing.

* Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety, and Electrical Wiring Interconnect System training.

* Understanding of ICAO, UK CAA, and EASA standards, safety management, risk management, and safety investigation techniques.

* Strong data management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

* Proficient in English (written and spoken).
