Experienced Bookkeeper

EXPERIENCED BOOKKEEPER REQUIRED – BASED IN PARKSTONE – PERMANENT FULL TIME POSITION – MONDAY TO FRIDAY – STARTING SALARY OF £30,000 + BENEFITS

We are working with our sister company, Carlton Young who specialise in the recruitment of Accountancy & Finance professionals within the Dorset & Hampshire region. Set up utilising the skills of a highly experienced recruiter and a fully qualified chartered accountant, we have both the recruitment skills and industry know-how to be able to bring applicants and businesses together.

Working closely with the Directors of the business and working alongside a friendly, experienced team across 2 offices, you will:

* Handle a diverse portfolio of clients' accounts with the utmost care and attention to detail

* Expertly navigate VAT regulations and filings, ensuring compliance and accuracy

* Process payroll for clients efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely payments and adherence to regulations

* Maintain comprehensive and organized financial records, leaving no detail overlooked

* Prior knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) would be beneficial and your familiarity with CIS will be highly valued

Ideally coming from an accountancy practice background with relevant AAT bookkeeping qualifications or qualified by experience, you will:

* Demonstrated proficiency in bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll across a diverse client base

* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are paramount in this role

* Ability to analyse financial data and provide insights to support informed decision-making

* Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero and Microsoft Excel are a must. Knowledge of other industry-specific software would be beneficial

* Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients alike
