Our client is a privately owned fuel oil distributor, established 15 years ago and currently ranked as the 6th largest oil distributor in mainland UK.
They have a vacancy for a Trainee Sales Advisor to work in their Hartlepool Head office helping grow the fuel card customer database.
The ideal candidate will be looking to assist in the continued growth of the brand by building and maintaining a portfolio of commercial accounts. Working within their busy sales office, the role will involve prospecting to businesses throughout the UK, through various means, with rapport building and people skills being an essential element. The successful candidate will be located in their head office at Hartlepool, working within the team there.
OTE £40,000pa.

* System ‘savvy’ and confident in excel and learning bespoke systems quickly
* Comfortable working in an office based environment on a daily basis
* Thrives in a fast paced environment where speed and accuracy are equally important
* Previous experience in a sales or phone based role advantageous but not a pre requisite
Demonstrable Competencies
* Make outbound calls and send emails to prospect potential new Fuel Card accounts
* Deal with inbound enquiries from your own prospects as well as email marketing leads
* Grow and maintain a portfolio of business Fuel Card accounts
* Advise clients on suitable products with thorough questioning skills and the ability to assess and recommend in different scenarios
* To assess and advise on credit risks, with the sustainability of the business as the key driving factor
* Consistently meet or exceed company targets
* Maintain maximum productivity and earning potential
* Keep up with industry changes and developments
