This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to utilize their planning expertise in a dynamic environment, working with minimal supervision while supporting the Team Leader and other departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Processing: Efficiently process a range of planning applications, except for complex cases, which may require guidance from the Team Leader.
Advisory Role: Provide clear and accurate information and advice to other officers, council Members, and the public regarding planning matters.
Appeals: Represent the Council in appeals through written representations and informal hearings, ensuring a strong and informed case is presented.
Committee Support: Assist Senior Planners at Committee meetings, including occasional case presentations as required.
Enforcement Advice: Offer expert advice to Enforcement Team Officers on planning-related matters.Requirements:

Educational Background:
Possess a degree in a relevant subject.
Hold a higher qualification in town planning.
Membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (R.T.P.I.) is essential.
Skills and Experience:
Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Good analytical skills with the ability to collate, analyze, and interpret data effectively.
