We are looking for a talented and motivated Test Engineer to join our client's reputable 🚗 automotive industry. If you're passionate about automotive engineering and have a strong technical background in powertrain, testing, safety, or markets, this could be the perfect opportunity for you 🌟

🌐 This is a temporary role with a contract length of 6 months+, working full-time on a 37-hour per week basis. The role is based in the vibrant town of Crewe, where you'll find excellent parking facilities nearby, just 18 minutes away from the office by foot. 🏢

🔑 As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of market approvals for our client's vehicle projects. Reporting to the Technical Conformity Project Management team, you will work closely with Certification Engineers to develop and manage the certification delivery plan. 🚀

Key Deliverables:

Generate and maintain project plans for certification project delivery, ensuring alignment with business market approval timing.
Actively manage the critical path to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of projects.
Identify and escalate potential risks and impacts to the plan, collaborating with the Technical Conformity Functional Manager and Functional Project Manager to implement effective mitigations.
Maintain robust change control of plans and manage the change control log.
Provide project health metrics and regular project status reporting.
Keep the project calendar, resource names, and task allocation up to date.
Assess resource capacity versus requirements through regular overviews of the resource profile extracted from project plans.
Foster clear communication between delivery and project teams.💼 To excel in this role, you should have:

A technical background in automotive engineering, with expertise in powertrain, testing, safety, or markets.
Strong problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges.
Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration abilities, with the aptitude to influence individuals at all levels.
Demonstrable experience in project planning and successful project delivery within an automotive engineering environment.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Project and project management principles.
Solid interpersonal skills and a high level of self-motivation.
