They are looking for a proactive, creative and detail focused design engineer with a proven track record of taking concept through to mass manufacturable products. You will be working in an industry leading, cross-functional team encompassing Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Analysis, Production Engineering, Prototyping and Reliability.

Senior Design Engineer - Key Responsibilities

Create design data including:
3D CAD modelling using SolidWorks.
2D critical dimension drawings including relevant use of GD&T
Early-stage static simulation (Finite Element Analysis) where appropriate to support design decisions.
2D and 3D prototyping (using internal and external resources)
Agree the mechanical, aesthetic, and ergonomic approach with the wider design team
Liaise with Structural and Reliability Engineers to ensure detailed validation of the FEA is in-line with the relevant standards
Senior Design Engineer - Key Skills

Minimum 5 years experience within a design engineering role
Extensive experience working with aluminium
Possesses a high level of CAD ideally with SolidWorks
An understanding of, and ability to, calculate static and fatigue strength requirements of your designs
