ABC Teachers are seeking a level 3 general classroom, KS1 Teaching Assistant, to work in a KS1 class at primary school in Handsworth.   This will start in mid September 2024 and run until Christmas in the first instance, but for the right candidate could run for the full academic year.

The role will be working with the class teacher to assist all children in the class achieve to the best of their capabilities.  This may include working with small target groups in specific core subjects.

We’re looking for a level 3 qualified teaching assistant with a passion for supporting pupils and the ability to adapt teaching techniques from pupil to pupil dependent on their needs and abilities.

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:

Have previous experience working as a teaching assistant
Have suitable qualifications to work with young people
Have strong interpersonal skills
Have the ability to cater to different children’s needs
Be patient, calm and caring
