Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a large, manufacturing business in Keighley who are looking to recruit a HSE Manager. The business, part of a global group of engineering companies, turn over around £60 million and supply complex. heavy engineered products into a wide variety of industries including aerospace and power generation. 

The HSE Manager will lead the safety team to provide Health, Safety and Environmental leadership across all areas of the site with a hands on approach to support, advice and problem solving with all stakeholders in the business to implement required standards. The business are looking for a HSE manager with demonstratable experience in behavioural safety who is passionate about driving a positive culture.   

Duties & responsibilities: 

Ensure the organisation's HSE strategy is implemented across site level
To promote company values in all dealings with other employees, sub-contractors etc
Overall responsibility, development and compliance of the Company’s H&S objectives and KPIs.
Implement practical and effective methods, both preventative and remedial, of promoting health and safety, safe working practices and awareness in the workplace, to promote safety and enhance the HSE culture
Coordinate incident investigations where required, managing safety concern, near miss, accident and RIDDOR; ensuring robust investigation and root cause incident prevention
Engaging across the site, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
Provide relevant training, education, communication and subject matter expertise to the site, conducting training, toolbox talks, inductions etc. where required.
I'm keen to speak to HSE Manager's with the following skillset:

Proven HSE experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment 
Holds a NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum or equivalent 
Extensive and up to date knowledge of Environmental standard ISO1400
Good working knowledge of ISO45001, PUWER assessments, auditing and culture development
