COVER SUPERVISOR

A Good Secondary School based in Waltham Forest is looking for enthusiastic and passionate Cover Supervisors to join their team from September.

This Good secondary school located in the borough of Waltham Forest, are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisors to join their team from September. The school has the highest expectations and ambitions for every student. Due to the popularity of the school, each year their intake is increasing with the view to have reached 1050 students on roll from September 2025.

The Head Teacher together with his successful Senior Leadership Team work hard to provide their students with a happy and safe learning environment, where all students are given the best possible start in life and are nurtured as effective learners. Throughout the school you can feel a real sense of community where students and staff are happy.

Graded Good in their most recent Ofsted, it was stated that 'Pupils enjoy their education at this school. They feel safe at school as their teachers look after them. Pupils behave well and lessons are rarely disrupted by silly or rude behaviour. Pupils know what is expected and follow the rules.'

The school has great public transport links nearby with a tube station within a 5-minute walk from the school. The roles are to start in September and will be for the full academic year.

Cover Supervisor:

This comprehensive school are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor to join their team from September. If you have experience of working in a childcare setting, ideally with secondary aged students, and would like to explore life within a school setting then this is a great opportunity for you.

As a Cover Supervisor, your main objective is to oversee the smooth running of all lessons during the school day including:

Supervising the cover work set by the absent teacher
Ensuring the children have the required resources and knowledge to complete the work set by the teacher
Managing the behaviour of pupils during the lesson to ensure all work is completed to a high standard
Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies
Collecting completed work after lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher/department.Experience Needed:

Experience of working with children within a school setting (Ideally secondary)
Strong classroom presence and ability to manage behaviour as and when needed
Ability to build a rapport with children, staff and parents
Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent (not essential)Apply today to be considered for this role
