Job Title: LSA Lead in SEMH School

Start: April 2024

Type: Temp to Perm

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Daily Rate: £115 - £135 a day

Innovative & Creative SEMH School located in Hillingdon which is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lead LSA to support and line manage a team of LSAs. Temp to Perm contract to start in April 2024

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the SEMH School by managing the LSA and supporting them in their support of children with SEN (SEMH, ASD, Complex Needs).
Supporting LSAs in the classroom and ensuring they are equipped to carry out their responsibilities effectively
Leading and managing a team of LSAs
Induction of new LSAs
Rota management and ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained
The Lead LSA is also responsible for induction, rota management and coordinating recruitment.
Working closely with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students

Requirements:

Previous / current experience working as either an experienced SEN TA/ LSA/ Behaviour Mentor/ HLTA etc
Experience working in a SEMH School or similar setting as wither a senior LSA or Lead LSA
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies
Experience supporting students with SEMH/ Behaviour Difficulties/ Complex Needs/ ODD/ ADD and/or ASD
Strong classroom management skills
Ability & experience in managing and leading a team of LSAs
Excellent communication skills
Experience in rota management in either an Alternative Provision / Pupil Referral Unit / SEN School or Mainstream School setting.
You have an in date enhanced DBS or able to pay for a new one immediately.
