Warehouse Team Leader

* £31,200 per annum

* Sunderland

* Permanent

* Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)

* 8 hours per day (between 7:30am – 5:30pm)

A fantastic opportunity to work with one of Europe's largest communications companies is now available. They are on the look-out for an experienced Team leader, to not only join the team, but lead by example. The role involves working within a warehouse environment where you will be responsible for supervising staff, providing help, support and leading from the front.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

* Supervise the activity of the warehouse team to ensure the day’s tasks are achieved on time

* Identify and resolve problems as they arise throughout the day and communicate with Admin and Sales to resolve problems and issues

* Supervise the use of staff and material resources including warehouse space, racking and the delivery fleet

* Help cross train staff in all warehouse disciplines

* Loading and unloading lorries in a safe and legal manner

Required Skills and Experience

* Strong leadership skills with experience in warehouse team management and employee development is essential

* Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.

* The ability to accommodate and identify changing priorities whilst thinking ahead to plan workloads for others to undertake
