We are currently seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the successful execution of engineering projects.

Main Duties

As a Project Engineer, you will support the Project Managers in the execution and delivery of engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:

* Assisting the Project Manager in resource planning and ensuring adherence to the project plan for on-time delivery.

* Ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective Design for Manufacturing (DFM) that meets customer and international specifications.

* Conducting system design and technical calculations to support project objectives.

* Managing the System Design Requirements List (SDRL) in line with customer schedules.

* Adhering to Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental Management systems.

* Applying company design standards throughout the project lifecycle.

* Liaising with suppliers and clients to ensure technical compliance.

* Supporting procurement by advising on technical specifications for purchase orders and approving drawings and Technical Requirements (TRs).

* Managing the Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure the availability of correct technical documentation and the on-time delivery of key project deliverables.

* Ensuring all testing activities are conducted safely and in accordance with company and customer requirements.

* Collaborating with design staff, the Workshop Manager, After Sales Manager, suppliers, and customers during project implementation.

* Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements related to the design and application of equipment used in projects.

* Reviewing and approving design drawings and 3D models according to company standards and release processes.

* Identifying opportunities to incorporate emerging technologies into our product range.

* Performing any other reasonable tasks as requested by Senior Management.

Desirable Skills, Competencies & Experience

* Qualified Mechanical Engineer (HNC or Degree).

* Experience with rotating part machinery in power ranges from 30kw to 500kw.

* Knowledge of hydraulics and electromechanical control systems.

* Experience with offshore or similar demanding documentation regimes.

* Experience working on manufacturing projects involving heavy equipment.

* Proficiency in IT packages.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills with suppliers and customers.

* Technical knowledge of pumping systems and/or 'package-build' equipment using motors and diesel engines.

* Awareness of emerging technologies and innovations that can be applied to our products.

* Proficient in Solid Edge or similar 3D design software.

* Working knowledge of Quality Systems, including documentation.

* Experience with certification documentation is beneficial but not essential.

* Preferred experience in process industries and hazardous area working.

* Full, clean driving license required.

Benefits

Salary: Up to £50,000

Work Hours: Monday to Friday (39.5 hours per week), 1 p.m. finish on Fridays
