Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing

We are currently recruiting for an award-winning social housing contractor who specialise in who are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor into their team.

This position will be based at their Hemel Hempstead office - on a flexible hybrid-working model. You will be responsible for managing your own workload, with the estimation that this position would allow for 2-3 days working from home/week.

The salary on offer is up to £70,000 depending on experience

Your responsibilities will include

Maximising the successful operation and commercial control of projects
Managing costs for materials, labour and sub-contractors across multiple projects
Taking responsibility for commercial reporting on assigned contracts, including forecasting and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
Meeting and liaising with clients to determine their needs, discussing any areas that need revising for price or feasibility

Ideal Skills and Experience

Experience working with direct labour delivery models.
Experience in a commercial role within the social housing sector
A good level of knowledge and understanding of measurement and valuation
Overall strong commercial skills and capability
Prior experience with refurbishment and refresh projects
Experience in managing both internal and external customer relationships
Ability to handle simultaneous commercial support across multiple projects
