Job Title: Stone Mason - Platform Paving

Salary: £22-£23 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Stone Mason to join our team for a project involving platform paving at a train station. As a Stone Mason, you will be responsible for laying and finishing paving stones to enhance the aesthetics and functionality of the station platform.

Responsibilities:

* Lay paving stones according to design specifications and project requirements.

* Ensure precise cutting, shaping, and fitting of stones to create a seamless and visually appealing surface.

* Work with various types of stone materials, including granite, limestone, and slate.

* Operate machinery and tools such as saws, chisels, and grinders safely and efficiently.

* Collaborate with other construction team members to coordinate work activities and achieve project milestones.

* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements:

* Valid CSCS card.

* Proven experience as a Stone Mason, with expertise in platform paving or similar projects.

* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

* Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in stone masonry.

* Strong attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.

* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

* Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
