Pay Rates: £42 per hour (CIS/Umbrella) OR £33.56 per hour (PAYE Direct)
About the Role: iRecruit UK is working on behalf of our client, a Tier 1 contractor, to recruit an experienced Site Works Manager (Facilities) for a key project in Bicester. This role involves supporting contract mobilisation activities, technical and compliance reviews, and due diligence activities, both desktop-based and physical.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day relationships with local intelligent client representatives and service end-users.
* Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, managing principal and specialist supply chain partners.
* Ensure compliance with safe work systems and agreed health and safety management controls.
* Directly deliver periodic statutory and mandatory inspections.
* Manage contract quality and assurance regimes in line with customer guidelines (Defence Infrastructure Organisation).
* Monitor additional small works activities.
* Coordinate and conduct a rolling programme of asset condition monitoring and surveying, supported by asset management and technical compliance functions.
* Coordinate technical and contractual management information at the site level, utilising the contract electronic document management system (EDMS) and information management processes.
* Support general facilities contract management activities, including task management, budget management, and continuous improvement objectives.
* Apply technical/engineering service knowledge to support the above activities and potentially undertake Authorised Person (AP) or Responsible Person (RP) activities to support the site-based safe system of work.
Key Skills:
* Review asset and compliance records.
* Develop technical, delivery, and compliance registers/plans (e.g., Gas, Asbestos, Water Management, Grounds, Site Plans).
* Undertake AP/RP training courses as per Ministry of Defence joint service publications (JSP375) requirements.
* Develop maintenance plans and configure the CAFM system based on information review.
* Develop contract assurance plans and records (e.g., Health and Safety, Quality Management).
* Conduct physical surveying activities.
Business as Usual Responsibilities:
* Manage relationships with building users/custodians and site-based client and customer representatives.
* Embed contract quality and assurance processes across the workforce and supply chain.
* Establish effective systems to support site operational needs.
* Collaborate with supply chain partners to manage the PPM programme.
* Resolve reactive maintenance emergencies, SLA non-conformances, and technical compliance issues with supply chain support.
* Perform AP and/or RP duties related to trade background/expertise.
* Adhere to and audit the Health and Safety Management plan, including RAMS and point-of-work health and safety audits.
* Manage compliance with contract/site physical and access security requirements.
* Optimise the CAFM system for planned and reactive works management.
* Conduct periodic asset surveying and monitoring activities (e.g., condition surveying/out-of-use buildings).
* Work with the commercial function to develop quotes/business cases for out-of-scope/additional works.
* Identify business risks and issues early during contract delivery and work with the contract risk management function to mitigate impacts.
Requirements:
Must be able to start ASAP.
Ability to apply for security clearance.
Strong technical/engineering service background.
Proven experience in a similar role.
Compensation:
£42 per hour (CIS/Umbrella) or £33.56 per hour (PAYE Direct).
