Job Title – Estimator (Mechanical)

Morson are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity as Estimator to join a leading Facilities Management company that provides mechanical and electrical construction, industrial and energy infrastructure, and facilities services to a diverse range of clients. The role is based in Eastleigh or Bristol and offering a competitive salary, plus car allowance, pension, and private healthcare.

Skills and experience:
• Holds an HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent).
• Preferably experienced in Data Centre projects.
• Strong management experience.
• Relevant experience in estimating for a building services contractor.
• Proficient in IT skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Role Responsibilities:
• Propose innovative solutions to meet client requirements.
• Maintain industry knowledge to stay updated on competitors methodologies.
• Prepare and compile proposal submissions, including solution and option appraisals for new project delivery methods, to identify viable commercial options.
• Adopt a proactive approach to continuously improving communications, management procedures, and systems to maximize profitability and enhance operational efficiencies.
• Manage the implementation of best practices.
• Standardize practices across the division to establish meaningful commercial and operational benchmarks.
• Obtain specialist subcontractor costs.
• Read and understand client requests and documentation.
• Attend site visits across the UK as part of the bid process.
