Are you an experienced Mobile Crane Operator looking to work with cranes ranging from 20 to 250 tons? We're offering a fantastic opportunity to join a leading company, providing high-quality lifting services across Essex, London, and the South East. If you take pride in your work, have a strong focus on safety, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, this role is for you.
Job Purpose:
As a Mobile Crane Operator, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient lifting services to our clients, ensuring the safety of employees, customers, and the public at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate mobile cranes from 20 to 250 tons following manufacturer’s instructions.
* Adhere to road traffic regulations and ensure correct use of PPE at all times.
* Use outriggers correctly, ensuring they are placed on level ground.
* Set and check the Rated Capacity Limiter and Rated Capacity Indicator.
* Practice safe manual handling procedures.
* Liaise with Site Managers and Project Managers upon arrival on-site to ensure smooth operations.
* Resist pressure to perform unsafe operations, maintaining safety as a priority.
* Apply information from duty charts and reports to safely use the crane.
* Monitor the effects of wind and weather on crane operations.
* Take action to avoid dangerous situations, including stopping operations when necessary.
* Operate fire suppressant equipment if required.
* Safely access and exit the crane using ladders and grab rails.
* Participate in training on specific crane models, rigging, maintenance procedures, and documentation.
Person Specification:
Education / Knowledge / Experience:
* Full UK Driver’s License.
* HGV Class C Licence.
* In-date Blue CPCS Card with Mobile Crane Operator authorization.
* Previous experience operating mobile cranes is essential.
* Knowledge of how wind and other climatic effects impact crane and load performance.
* Strong understanding of road traffic regulations.
