Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a regional contractor with over forty years of experience working with public and private clients based in West Wales.

They operate across the civil engineering environment, on projects varying from £50K - £2.M. They work on multiple frameworks across the region within minor civil engineering, highways & surfacing.

Additionally, they work as a delivery contractor on larger schemes for Tier 1 contractors.

Due to an influx of work across the West Wales area, they have an exciting opportunity for Senior Quantity Surveyor.

This role will report directly to the Operations Director and will be responsible for pricing future work, and pre & post-contractual Quantity Surveying duties.

Duties Include:

* Ensuring the commercial interests are always maintained throughout all activities undertaken

* Proficient in reviewing forms of contract, notably NEC Suite of Contracts, and negotiating with clients concerning contract provisions.

* Ensuring contract compliance across project portfolio and always seeking to mitigate the exposure of any commercial risk from poor contract administration.

* Assisting the region with tendering new works.

* Ensuring the process for raising variations/ compensation claims to clients are produced and submitted.

* Managing submission of all payment assessments through to prompt cash collection.

* Ensuring a robust subcontractor management process is employed.

* Promote cost saving and increased productivity through initiatives and value engineering.

* Supporting the Regional Director with monthly reporting.
