My Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Supervisor/Workign Foreman to join their team in Surrey. The successful candidate will oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, project plans, and company policies. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
#### Key Responsibilities:
- **Site Management**:
- Supervise daily site activities to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion.
- Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
- **Health and Safety**:
- Implement and adhere to health and safety policies as per the SSSTS guidelines.
- Conduct risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Provide site inductions and toolbox talks to the workforce.
- Report and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- **Quality Control**:
- Ensure that all work is performed to the required standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress, and any issues that arise.
- Address any non-compliance or quality issues promptly.
- **Team Leadership**:
- Lead and motivate the site team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring effective teamwork.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and other professionals to resolve any site issues.
- **Logistics and Planning**:
- Plan and manage site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Coordinate deliveries and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the project schedule.
#### Qualifications and Experience:
- SSSTS certification (essential).
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and project management software.
- Valid CSCS card and Either SSSTS or SMSTS
- Full UK driving license.
