Our client, a highly reputable main contractor is seeking a Senior Control Engineer to join their team in Hebburn, with experience in the Electrical Power Transmission & Distribution industry to help them find solutions consolidating and enhancing the Nation’s electricity network.

The successful candidate will be in a lead control engineer role with the responsibility for overseeing and delivering contracts using the client's portfolio of control systems to ensure future sustainability of their industry customers.

Areas of Responsibility:

As a Senior Control Engineer, you will:

• Technically lead industry control solutions and support development of new colleagues.

• Production / checking of functional design specifications

• Develop and design control systems solutions.

• Responsible for overseeing customer factory and site testing activities.

• Ensure compliance with customer technical specifications on allocated projects.

• Providing technical input for the pre-sale’s activities.

• Responsible for technical issues/support on allocated projects

• Attend internal and external design reviews providing technical input.

Requirements for the Senior Control Engineer:

• Experience within Control / Automation background.

• A minimum qualification of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and/or experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry

Desired Experience:

• Experience in a similar role involving developing medium to large scale SCADA systems, control systems, automation systems and communication infrastructure.

• Good understanding of the Circuit Diagrams / Wiring Diagrams and General Arrangement drawings on control and protection systems.

• Desire to technically lead on allocated projects and develop engineers for the expanding team
