About The Role

Due to internal progression, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Research and Development Technician to join our team, to support our Chandlers Ford Branch.

Overall, you will have a hands-on role supporting the design engineering and production team in developing new products and processes.

As a Research & Development Technician, you’ll get to:

* Assemble new products (prototypes) and sub-assemblies using preliminary drawings & 3D models from Engineering.

* Identify and record any mechanical & electrical issues which could impact the production line.

* Communicate with production & engineering teams to ensure the products meets its final

* specifications and can be assembled as expected.

* Maintenance of equipment and tooling when required.

* Ensure warranty returns are dealt promptly and write finding & failure mode reports.

Qualifications & Experience

* Proven experience within an Manufacturing environment.

* Experience with reading 2D engineering drawings.

* Experience with power tools and welding.

* IT literate and experience with report writing.

* Good communication skills with ability to present technical expertise to customers &

* directors.
