RSW are looking to recruit a strong administrator for a permanent role with our client, a specialist manufacturer in Aberdare to join their Materials Team.
Aim of the job:
Effectively administrate information relating to the flow of materials into production. This will be carried out whilst ensuring that their performance complies with Company processes and procedures.
Summary of position:
Managing information regarding direct and indirect materials, determining quantity and timing of deliveries to meet production dates.
Summary of the persons the employee will work with:
* Materials (Stores).
* Test and Inspection.
* Production.
* Suppliers.
* Finance.
* Senior Management and Directors.
List of key tasks:
* Managing the visibility of direct and indirect material, determining quantity and timing of deliveries to meet production dates.
* Purchase Order Expediting and informing Stores of incoming urgency in order to meet kitting and production requirements.
* Providing all relevant material shortage dates and informing production of material clean by dates for production planning.
* Facilitation of the SAGE Purchase Order system administration requirements to meet material kitting and production schedule, ensuring flexible Customer requirements support.
* Updating SAGE system with information from Supplier PO acknowledgements ensuring system accuracy.
* Support queries on invoice pricing and delivery discrepancies and SAGE system update to reflect corrections.
* Updating SAGE system with Supplier Product Information and supplier contact details.
* Support Buyer for escalation of material issues encountered in the supply chain.
* Providing all relevant feedback of material issues and material measures required for Buyer and Operations Manager.
Play an active role within the Materials Team. This will be accomplished by:-
* Identifying materials critical processes and critical success factors.
* Carrying out 5S and other Continuous Improvement initiatives.
* Managing the Performance Measurement Process (PMP).
* Co-ordinate with other Departments in order to facilitate issue resolution and participate in cross functional team projects.
* The Expeditor could carry out any other duties within their competences as required by the Operations Manager.
The hours are as normal 7.45am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.45am – 1pm Friday.
£25k salary
* 22 holidays plus bank holidays
* Pension
* On site parking available.
