The Opportunity
Due to increased project expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen, where you will be responsible for helping to support a global leading chemical manufacturing company, who require a HSEQ manager. This role will be responsible to oversee and manage all ongoing aspects of health, safety, environmental, security and quality systems, ensuring optimal safety is effectively maintained.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Working closely with the Site Manager and the Manufacturing Management Team (MMT), the HSEQ Manager will lead and maintain each sites integrated Management System (IMS).
The HSEQ Manager will also interact with LXS PTSE (Production, Technology, Safety & Environment) and PPS (Plant & Process Safety) group functions to maintain compliance with relevant Environmental, Process Safety and Occupational Health & Safety standards.
Manage and report HSEQ metrics and use them to drive improvement.
Develop and follow-up Improvement Plans to achieve HSEQ goals.
Ensure that Company personnel are adequately trained with respect to HSEQ matters.
Maintain and identify HSEQ training needs, highlighting areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by legislation, Approved Codes of Practice or HSE guidance.
Develop, maintain and implement the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensure all policies and procedures are up to date, compliant with all applicable laws and regulations and aligned to LXS corporate requirements and guidelines.
Ensure continued ISO certifications for ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) to the current scope and any future standards deemed necessary by the Company, for example, ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) and 50001 (Energy)and any other standards that become required.
Ensure that the Company is proactive, up to date and complies with all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) legislation.
Manage COMAH compliance and oversee the Process Safety Management (PSM) programme.
Be the principal point of contact with the regulatory authorities (including the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, and Fire Service).You will have the following qualifications & experience
Extensive experience in a similar role to HSEQ Manager.
Experience working on a lower or upper tier COMAH site.
Thorough knowledge of EHSS laws, regulations, practices and standards.
Knowledge of IMS – principles, implementation and auditing of ISO 14001 and 9001.
Good basic working IT knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional.
Operational leadership experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent (minimum).Get in touch now
