This post is a functional ILS role. The individual will be deployed into a project according to the need of the TacSys Service Executive. This may result in ILS activities needing to be conducted over various projects in parallel.

Role:

The Integrated Logistic Support Officer (ILSO) is appointed in order to undertake specified project ILS tasks delivery under the technical supervision of the Authority ILS SO1, and under the daily management of the appropriate Senior ILSM pillar lead. This will then ensure that the ILS aspects of project delivery are completed and to safeguard through life capability and ensuring value for money is achieved through-out the life of TacSys portfolios.

Beyond their principal responsibilities to the Service Executive, the ILSO has a responsibility to TacSys to ensure that their assigned projects pursues a support strategy, which is compatible with current service policy. This policy, promulgated by DE&S, will be reflected in the Project Requirements Set (PRS), which is produced by the MOD Capability Sponsor (Sponsor). The Project will subsequently produce the System Requirements Document (SRD), which will include the detailed support strategy developed by the ILSO in response to the PRS support requirements.

Essential:

Minimum: ILS/TTLS Level 1 Licence.Desirable:

Chartered Institution Membership of appropriate institution
Approved PGCERT\PGDIP\MSC ILS.
