#### Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of our substation projects for windfarms, ensuring maximum value and maintained strong financial health is achieved.

#### Key Responsibilities:
- **Cost Management:** Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial forecasting are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- **Contract Administration:** Manage all contractual aspects, including preparing and reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- **Valuation and Payments:** Conduct regular valuations of work completed, prepare payment applications, and ensure timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
- **Risk Management:** Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and contractual risks associated with projects.
- **Tendering:** Oversee the preparation of tender documents, evaluate bids, and negotiate contract terms with clients and subcontractors.
- **Reporting:** Provide detailed reports on project financial performance, including cost variations and progress against budgets.
- **Team Leadership:** Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

#### Requirements:
- **Experience:** Experience in quantity surveying, with a strong background in civils and groundworks, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- **Skills:** Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
- **Certifications:** Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is highly desirable.
- **Location:** Willingness to be based in or relocate to the North of Scotland.
