Progress Teachers are seeking a dedicated and talented Art and Design Teacher to join a dynamic department in a mainstream Leicestershire Secondary School and support pupils across KS3 and KS4 to make positive progress and develop a love for the subject area.

Responsibilities of the role:

* Design and implement an engaging and innovative art and design curriculum that aligns with national standards and School vision.

* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can explore various mediums and techniques, developing their skills.

* Evaluate students' work, provide constructive feedback, and track their progress.

* Stay abreast of current trends in art and design education, participate in professional development opportunities, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the department.

* Maintain a well-organised and stimulating learning environment, managing behaviour effectively and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

Qualifications and requirements:

* Holding a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) with QTS is advantageous. However, experienced non-qualified teachers will also be considered for the role.

* Possess a degree in Art, Design, or a related field, showcasing a deep understanding of key concepts and techniques.

* Experience teaching Art and Design at the secondary level, demonstrating a track record of student achievement and engagement is highly advantageous, however, strong ECTs will also be considered for the role.

* Demonstrate a genuine passion for education, a commitment to student success, and the ability to inspire and motivate all learners.

* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service OR willingness to obtain
