Norwich, United Kingdom Pure Resourcing Solutions Limited Full time

I’m delighted to be partnering with a well-known and highly reputable Academy Trust to recruit for an IT Technician.

As an IT Technician, you will provide technical and user support for a range of IT services in school, supported by the Trust’s central IT function. You will be responsible for the day-to-day support and management of the technology equipment deployed at the school and will be the first point of contact for all ICT-related issues. The successful candidate will be resourceful and proactive, as much of their daily work will be unsupervised by central technical staff.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, either remotely or with end users.
Configure and install replacement workstation devices.
Perform regular pre-emptive checks on deployed equipment.
Maintain and adjust fixed in-class audio/visual equipment.
Support printers and photocopiers, reporting faults to third-party support companies.
Replace and re-order hardware and device consumables as directed.
Handle day-to-day user requests for password changes and account resets.
Maintain and support the school’s Management Information Systems.
Support technology at whole-school events.
Ensure that the school’s website remains online.
Monitor and administer the school’s internet filtering system.
Support and maintain the school’s core systems and networks with the assistance of the regional network manager.

Experience Required:

Qualified to Level 1 or Level 2 or with equivalent experience.
Demonstrated track record of proactive behaviour, delivery to deadlines, and providing consistently excellent customer service.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Flexible and resilient in managing and executing daily responsibilities.
